KELSEY LOWES
Kelsey Lowes is an abstract artist from Ontario, Canada.
She established her style of work through exploring texture and movement. Over time she gravitated towards solely working with a palette knife.
Kelseys work draws in the eye by subtle textures that are created with acrylics and various mediums like charcoal and oil pastel. She focuses on creating a level of contrast in her body of work that draws the viewer into each detail.
When Kelseys work is seen up close and personal, each piece explodes with a chaotic mess of textures, layers and colour. However, as the viewer steps back, those small details fade into a cohesive piece, tying each mark together. Her work has been know for its balanced calmness, and also its ability to evoking different perspectives from its viewers.

Kelsey Lowes is from the small town of Meaford Ontario.
Kelsey works mainly with palette knives, she creates memorizing abstract pieces using Acrylic paint. Kelsey gravitated towards using a palette knife in her late 20s as her creative expression started to evolve outside of just a hobby.
Alot of what Kelsey Paints, comes from a place of needing to escape the everyday chaos and create something that balances our feelings and emotions.
Kelseys work has been hung is various small businesses, hotels and restaurants around Georgian Bay.
